Broker Insights retains ISO 27001 accreditation

Broker Insights is delighted to announce successful re-certification of the ISO 27001 standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).

ISO 27001 is the internationally leading best practice standard for information security management and operations. The re-certification marks three years since Broker Insights initially achieved the world-class standard.

Broker Insights Senior Governance, Risk & Compliance Manager, Karen Sutherland, explains why this certification is so important to the business.

“Retaining ISO 27001 accreditation is key to Broker Insights’ business strategy and marks a significant milestone in the company’s growth. It demonstrates our full commitment to the ongoing review and continuous improvement of our ISMS framework.

“Data is paramount to the unique service we provide and is fundamental in enabling us to offer customers the functionality available on our platform. To maintain this world-class certification gives confidence to our partners, employees, and customers that their data is being kept secure.

“In providing assurance to our customers that we store and handle their information safely, the certification also helps us demonstrate adherence to some of our regulatory requirements, reduces risk and drives continuous improvement of our policies and procedures when handling all types of data.

“We have been audited bi-annually over the past three years to provide assurance that we are maintaining high standards for information security management. The recent re-certification audit required us to demonstrate the effectiveness of our controls across our entire ISMS.

“Embedding and enhancing processes to ensure high standards of information security are being met can only be achieved if everyone in the business adopts a culture that supports confidentiality and protection of data. It’s testament to the dedication of our people and Management Team that we have been re-certified to such a high standard.

The re-certification is for a further three year period, subject to annual audits so we can continue to evidence the controls in place for information security management.
